Entrance testing is the part of the Sechenov Leaders program requirements that applicants ask about most. Below are short answers to the questions we hear most often, based on the information published by Sechenov University.

How many entrance tests are there?

There are two. Candidates sit a chemistry test and a Russian language test. Both are conducted in testing format, and both come after you have submitted your documents.

Which subject matters most?

Chemistry is the priority subject. It is the core assessment for the program, so it deserves the largest share of your preparation time. Russian is listed as an additional test.

The program is taught in English, so why is there a Russian test?

The Russian test is part of the official admission requirements for this track, alongside chemistry. Teaching on the program itself is in English. If you have questions about the level expected, the admissions office is the best source of an accurate answer.

When are the tests held?

Specific dates are not given in the program materials. Check the current admission campaign page at https://www.sechenov.ru/admissions/priemnaya-kampaniya-2026/ or call the admissions office on +7 (495) 622-98-20.

What score do I need to pass?

Minimum and passing scores are not published in the program overview. For up-to-date figures, contact the admissions team directly rather than relying on unofficial sources.

Do I need to submit documents before taking the tests?

Yes. Submitting documents is the first step, and it can be done in person in Moscow, by post or online via the Gosuslugi portal. The tests form the second step.

What happens after I pass?

The final step is to sign the education contract and pay for your studies. Once this is complete, you become a student of the program. The first year costs 1,500,000 rubles.

How should I prepare for chemistry?

Revisit the full school chemistry course systematically and practice answering questions under time pressure, since the test is taken in testing format. Building a weekly study plan several months in advance is far more effective than last-minute review.

Who can answer questions about my individual situation?

Applicants in the UAE and elsewhere can write to healthleaders@staff.sechenov.ru, call the admissions office or use the call center on +7 (495) 609-14-00.

For an overview of the track, visit the program page; the admissions section explains every step, and our contacts page lists all ways to reach the team.
